In 2019, Sharon attended Facebook’s annual F8 developer conference and became the BBC’s lead television commentator on the announcements, appearing across multiple programmes including BBC Breakfast, BBC News at Ten, and being interviewed by ITN and Al-Jazeera.

She has also appeared on several BBC Radio and Channel 4 News programmes as a commentator on social media, technology, and the future of work.
